What does this calculator mean?
Cricket overs are written in a special format: the number after the point is balls, not a decimal fraction. The overs to balls converter turns that notation into an exact ball count.
It is useful for strike rate calculations, scoring and checking bowling figures.

Frequently asked questions
Why can't I enter 4.7 overs?
An over has six legal balls, so the digit after the point can only be 0 to 5. After 4.5 the next ball completes the over, making it 5.0.
Does this count wides and no-balls?
No. Overs count legal deliveries only. Wides and no-balls are re-bowled and do not advance the over.
